all our required items are hallmarked by Sheffield assay office. required items by UK law are any item over the weight of 7.78 grams which are being sold as " sterling silver".  any item to be sold as sterling silver by law must have a UK hallmark unless it falls beneath the appropriate exemption weight. in this case Georges Gems will apply our sponsor mark and the traditional .925 stamp if applicable.

as a requirement of the hallmarking act 1973,  all dealers supplying precious metal items/jewellery should display "The Dealers Notice" , which explains the approved hallmarks. there is a copy below but also we display this in our shop and at every event which we attend, as always any questions please feel free to ask.
